Once your radon sampler is sealed in the return mailer envelope, you should ship your kit as soon as possible. Tests are time sensitive.
- Short Term tests must arrive in the lab within 10 days of the stop date for a valid reading. After 10 days, results cannot be guaranteed.
- Long Term tests must arrive in the lab within 30 days of the stop date.
- Radon in Water vials must arrive in the lab within 8 days of the stop date (4 if testing in Connecticut) .
Most tests do not include prepaid return shipping. When you register your test online, the online registration system will inform you if your test included prepaid return shipping and (if applicable) provide instructions on how to use it.
We strongly recommend a shipping service that includes tracking to ensure delivery to our labs – UPS, FedEx, or USPS Priority Mail or better are all good options.
We offer discounted and guaranteed FedEx return shipping for purchase. Return shipping labels can be purchased during online registration. When you purchase a FedEx shipping label from us, the label PDF will be attached to an email and sent to you. You will need to print it and affix it to your package before dropping your test(s) off at a FedEx location.
